Participants and Objectives

The title of our project is "Building a bridge of communication through ICT and English". Our main objective is to develop the sense of European citizenship among all participants. This will be achieved through the use of universal ICT means and through English, which is the main spoken language in Europe. The target groups of our project are children aged 9-15 and also their teachers. They will work and study together to get to know the culture of partner schools using the ICT means. All throughout the project they will communicate directly among each other during the mobilities and also using the ICT, thus improving their English language skills. All the activities of the project will help the participants develop a sense of European citizenship. The students and teachers involved in this project will work on creating blogs, forums, websites, sharing good practice lessons, online communication, intercultural exchanges, developing environmental awareness. Throughout the project, students and teachers will benefit from a wide range of ICT techniques and tools in order to obtain the best results during teaching in class. The outcomes of the project, following the activities, will offer all the participants the possibility to get to know each other's culture (virtual brochure, traditional cuisine, presentation posters, children's games), use ICT (blogs, forums, online communication, websites, videos), improve the communication in English (educational portfolio, demonstrative classes, questionnaires, cross-curricular portfolio, multilingual dictionary, logos, slogans, poems), become aware of the importance of protecting the environment (recycling, ecofriendly activities) and be active citizens of Europe (the role of the European Parliament, initial education).
