Our Comenius Corner

We have already started working on our Comenius Corner, here at IES Alpujarra. We have involved all our students in the project, including the students who attend our Spanish Language Support Program  for those who do not speak Spanish yet. We asked them to give their impression on Spain and work on the Spanish bit of our Corner.

The rest of the students in the school taking part in the project carried out the work on other countries and we put everything in a set of 7 big wooden panels in a very visible place of the hallway. We are hoping to hang flags of all the countries when we visit our partners or when you visit us. 

So, please, remember to bring a flag.

We  have also started our CORRESPONDENCE ACTIVITIES. Our student have begun sending messages to students in Lithuania and Poland and are waiting for responses. Some of them have already arrived but we hope to get a lot more soon. Estefanía, the History teacher organised the pairings and each student has now got a e-pal.

MULTILINGUAL DICTIONARY  

As part of the activities to carry out during our project, we decided to elabore¡ate this dictionary with common words and phrases that are used in each of the partners' languages. Enjoy listening!

Words express the feelings that gestures cannot,
words give hope to those who lost it long ago.
With the knowledge of one shared language,

we hope to create a bridge of words that leads to an open gate.

we share our knowledge to create a brighter future for all.
I hear the voice of unification throughout every year of language education.
